This late May newsletter is a good time to discuss the birth chart of Canada, July 1, 1867.
The planetary periods used in Vedic astrology in personal charts also apply to countries' charts.
Astrologically speaking, Canada's bleak times began in 2023 when the Saturn/Rahu period began, but its breakdown really started in 2011.
This was the beginning of Saturn's 19-year period. The restrictions and challenges Saturn usually brings during its period weren't as apparent then as they are now, at least to most people.
We are now living in a country that is no longer recognisable.
The darkness of Saturn and the manipulation and lies from Rahu will be upon Canada until the middle of 2027, when Jupiter's helpful sup-period arrives.
However, there will still be much deception until the end of 2029, when the long-lasting Saturn period ends.
You can't clean out a sewer of filth that stretches throughout a nation overnight.
Canada is an emotional country based on the exchange that Mercury and the Moon have with each other. This is seen with Mercury in the sign of Cancer (the Moon's sign) and the Moon in Gemini (Mercury’s sign), which activates the nervous system. The fragile emotions of the Moon can make the country and its citizens feel insecure.
Still, Canada and, thereby, Canadians have courage with the assertive and forceful Mars in the powerful sign of Leo. Also, Determination is seen by an exalted Saturn (the Planet in its best sign).
Venus in Taurus is connected to beauty (which Canada certainly has), and the love of nature. Venus in Taurus also gives the Canadian people a creative, artistic ability.
Unfortunately, Saturn and Jupiter in Canada's chart are badly influenced and seduced by the ecliptic points, Rahu and Ketu. This often ignites the darker side of planets, thereby blinding people from having the freedom to enjoy their own country.
The drive is to earn more and have more, and while doing so, people lose contact with the simpler things in life, such as the beauty of nature.
The more people make, the more the controllers will always take. A country that is abundant with resources and not overpopulated should allow its citizens more ease in their lives and greater wealth.
There is more oil in Canada than in Saudi Arabia; the question is, why are our so-called leaders treating this nation so poorly?
Why are they making Canadians believe they are poor? For sure, we are not!
The harsh influence of Saturn can make Canadians believe they are victims (true, perhaps), and victims are always ready to blame. Saturn can also make martyrs out of some.
The transit of the Rahu and Ketu in Canada's birth chart indicates that the next 18 months will be pivotal for the country. This transit in a personal chart often indicates a karmic change or a "reset" in one's path. For a nation, this can be more profound.
The question is how the country will survive until a much better period arrives in 2030. Again, indications are that when Jupiter's subperiod comes in mid-2027, some direction will need to be taken. The shadow planets Rahu and Ketu also indicate this for Canada.
Due to Pluto's placement in 2026 and 2027, Canada's economy will likely experience extreme difficulties, which may result in the country's restructuring.
Whatever happens in the next 18 months strongly indicates difficulties for Canada. It may bring a necessary conclusion to a lifestyle that so many have become familiar with, living in a comfortable rut. If people can wake up, there will be a favourable outcome.
Jupiter's conjunction with Uranus in the Canadian chart this August brings surprises and sudden opportunities. You will likely feel a strong need for freedom. Rebellion is another possibility when people in a country realise they have been fooled and mistreated by the government or large organisations.
To become truly free, you must understand that the government has zero authority over you. Income tax was introduced as a temporary measure to help out with the war, but the windfall was just too good ever to want to stop.
When compliance stops, so does tyranny.
