The adventure begins in the quaint back garden of the Pratt family, which becomes larger than life due to many events that take place. Duncan the rabbit is able to send his thoughts out to the other animals and then Vicky and Dennis begin to receive them. Vicky's beloved cat, Molly, often becomes too curious while Bounder is her protector and keeps a look at all things.
Yet an adventure takes place because of Molly's curious nature and many, many things begin to occur that cannot be explained or understand by the adult world. "All things have energy, Dennis!"
