Major Lines and Planets as Seen in the Hand

Palmistry and Vedic Astrology have a very special link with each other and was why I became fascinated to study both modalities. I came to see that when a planet was strong or favorable in the chart, the same was also seen in the palm.

The index finger is the Jupiter finger. The long or middle finger is Saturn, the ring finger is the Sun and the pinkie is our good friend, Mercury.

The Heart line (our emotions) is the upper line in our hand as it veers towards the index finger, the Jupiter finger. Jupiter will always bring expansion and therefore the heart becomes open when going there.

If the Heart line is short and is trapped beneath the Saturn finger (long finger), then a person may be more reserved with their emotions. The lines change in our hand over time; they can grow longer or become shorter. Often a Heart line can shorten and get trapped beneath the reserved and restricted Saturn... due to breakups in relationships, losses of another nature or with general disappointments.

So what are the remedies?

Protective remedies could be helpful for releasing the controlling nature of Saturn which signifies our strong willed left brain. Knowing that positive periods are showing up in your chart, and perhaps having a personalized Yantra Pendant made for you to protect you during this time of transition.

Your headline is the horizontal line in the middle of your palm and is beneath the heart line. It is important to see if one line is longer than the other. A long headline with a short heart line signifies too much willpower and stubbornness. This person will be bullheaded.

A long heart line with a short headline can make a person overwhelmed by their emotions. A person with a long headline will see the proverbial forest rather than the trees and therefore be clear sighted in most matters. People will often come to them for advice.

This is just a small example that links the Vedic astrology chart to the lines and planets in the hand.

As always...John
